The outdoor installation in front of the main building of the Verla Mill – included in the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage list – projects the sixteen windows of the brick façade onto an installation of sixteen blocks of cellulose which echo the sizes and spacings of the windows. The visual image of the factory is reflected in its own product. Each block is turned into a matrix for growing a sappling of the very tree that cellulose fiber is made of. The white industrial material becomes fertile earth. The installation is a conceptual cycle of metamorphosis and the artist´s appeal for the ethics of sustainability.
